You Can Be An Owner Builder

A Unique Home Building Experience with you as the Owner Builder.
Design, build and move into a new home at a fraction of the cost

Most new homes are the single largest investment of one’s lifetime. By serving as the owner contractor, affordability meets expectations.

 Of Note:
  1. North Carolina law allows an individual to serve as the general contractor if the land is in your name and the home is to be solely occupied by you and your family for 12 months after completion, without a license and/or experience.
  2. The law does not allow the property owner to obtain a building permit and delegate his duty to supervise the construction project to an unlicensed person. This duty can only be delegated to a general contractor licensed in this state.

The task of building a home can be overwhelming. Time delays, failed inspections, sub-par trade work along with over-spending on materials and labor can nullify the cost savings of the owner/contractor role.

As a licensed general contractor and experienced custom home builder, I can guide and assist you through the architectural planning, documentation of plans, budgeting, permitting, the hiring of trades, ordering materials, scheduling, and onsite inspections for quality and conformance to code.

I offer a number of consulting packages selected relative to your building experience and overall comfort level. If the process becomes overwhelming or consumes too much of your time; we can adjust and modify the plan to meet your needs.

Dare to be the builder of your dream home
